Rossiya Airlines History

Rossiya-Russian Airlines was established in January 2011 after the 2006 merger of the Moscow-based company of the same name and Saint Petersburg-based Pulkovo Aviation Enterprise.
Rossiya is a secondary national airline, which operates scheduled and charter passenger flights from Saint Petersburg and Moscow, as well as VIP flights for the Russian government, including the operation of the Russian presidential aircraft fleet.
Up to 40% of Rossiya flights are operated from its hub, in Pulkovo Airport in Saint Petersburg. Whereas, operations based in Moscow are mainly non-scheduled ones for state organisations or flights operated on behalf of Aeroflot.
Rossiya Airlines is today the largest state aviation company and the leading airline in the North-West region of Russian Federation.
Its cooperation with over 100 Russian and foreign partners, enables Rossiya’s passengers to get connected to nearly anywhere in the world.
By passenger traffic, Rossiya Airlines is one of the industry leaders, as the airline carries over 4 million passengers per year.
